Bamboo Manalac leads an interesting line-up of live acts set to entertain attendees of the first-ever Cinemajam, which aims to mix the experience of outdoor movie marathon and music festival in one fun-filled night.

The event, to be presented by Crizal Transitions, is scheduled to happen at Event Circuit Makati on Saturday, November 30.

"I find myself in a good place. Ang dami kong nagagawang iba-iba," Bamboo shared, referring to his recent gigs including serving as judge during the successful run of “The Voice of the Philippines.”

Projecting positivity

The singer-songwriter will be joined in by bands Itchyworms, Moonstar 88, Callalily, and GraceNote, as spectators may also enjoy other activities such as karting, bungee jumping, skating, among others.

Marketing manager Jinky Navo said, "We chose these acts because they all project positivity; their materials put out positive messages."

The movies "Love, Actually," and "Limitless" will also be screened for the outdoor audience during the event, touted as being the first of its kind in the country. Both movies were picked because it fits the occasion's theme of "Seeing Life in a Bright Light."

In that vein, the event will also offer free eyesight checkup for attendees and will donate proceeds of the event to World Vision Foundation.

New work with Rivermaya

Bamboo also revealed that he is working with his old band Rivermaya. "We'll do something at gagawa kami ng collaboration. Hindi lang umabot para sa last album nila pero nag-usap na kami ni Mark (Escueta) and we decided it should be different, not the usual, para ma-excite tayo."

Though he is not closing his door at reuniting with the group's classic line-up (that also includes Rico Blanco and Nathan Azarcon), he hopes whatever reunion work that comes along will involve only "new material."

"Di ako nae-excite sa reunion concert where we will do the old stuff. What artistically draws me in is a new material," he affirmed.
