MANILA, Philippines - Actress Angelica Panganiban was probably nice in 2012 and so she was able to get one of her biggest Christmas wishes.
Clearly well rested and in her elements after the holiday break, Angelica related on "The Buzz" that this past Christmas was truly memorable in that she celebrated it with her loved ones.
"Mabuti naman, siyempre nakapahinga. 'Yun talaga ang nilo-look forward ko and nandito 'yung buong family ko na kumpleto kami," said she.
As simple as it sounds, Angelica stressed that the highlight of the entire family reunion was that "nagka-family picture kami" and "kumain kami sa isang kwarto."
"Malaking bagay na 'yon para sa aming lahat. First time din kasing mag-celebrate ng New Year sa bahay so talagang ginandahan namin 'yung event," she added.
What lent the occasion additional glimmer was the presence of her boyfriend, actor John Lloyd Cruz.
"Yes nandoon siya and 'yung family niya. Actually simula nung party hanggang nung New Year's [eve] magkakasama 'yung family niya tsaka 'yung family ko," Angelica shared.
Unlike in her past relationship, Angelica said she and Lloydie didn't have gifts for each other in their first Christmas together.
"Ako kasi ang hiningi ko lang is 'yung makasama ko siya for Christmas and nangyari naman," she said. "Nag-dinner kami sa bahay nila kasama 'yung family niya and 'yung family ko. And siya naman ganon din ang gusto, so masaya kami sa mga ganong ka-simpleng bagay."
The Kapamilya star has a lot to thank for 2012. Among them is her box office film "One More Try" and shooting "Apoy Sa Dagat" with Piolo Pascual and Diether Ocampo. No wonder that for the Year of the Water Snake Angelica has chosen to get rid of any ill feelings she may have.
"Hindi ko na nga maalala eh. Alam niyo kasi 'pag nagpatawad ka eh 'di ba kinakalimutan mo na 'yung mga 'yon," she reiterated.
