While both Nicki and Keith have played coy regarding their possible future's with the show until now, Keith fueled rumors on Wednesday, when he bowed out of his coaching role on Australia's version of "The Voice."

"I've been so fortunate to have been a part of 'The Voice.' And as much as I'd love to do it again, it's clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments will keep me from being a part of the second season," Keith said in a statement released to the Nine Network, which airs "The Voice" in Australia, where the country star acted as a coach alongside singers Seal, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem.

Prior to "American Idol's" new additions, singers Katy Perry, Enrique Iglesias and Nick Jonas were reportedly in the running to join the reality competition, after former judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez bowed out in early July.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, in late July, Mariah officially signed on to judge "Idol."

"As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back with 'American Idol,'" she said in a statement released by FOX at the time. "I'm currently in the studio working on my new album and its first single, 'Triumphant,' which will be out early next month. I can't wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show which is a massive global phenomenon."
