Albie considers 2012 a good year

Personal issues may have stalled Albie Casiño’s career, but he still considers 2012 a “good year.”

“Every year naman may masamang nangyayari, (but) basically it was a good year all in all,” he said at the Metro Manila Film Festival parade of stars last December 23.

The freshman Export Management student is glad to be able to focus on school.

“At least now I (can) get to finish college,” he said.

It will be recalled that Albie was at the center of controversy when he allegedly turned his back on former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann and now one-year-old daughter Adrianna Gabrielle.

Because of that, Albie became less visible on TV. But he appeared in some movies, like “Aswang,” “The Animals” and “Shake, Rattle and Roll 14” this year.

He insists that career and studies are now his priorities.

Lately however, online photos of him and his “The Animals” co-star Dawn Balagot together have sparked rumors that he is dating again.

Albie refused to comment on the real score between them.

“Siya na lang tanungin niyo. I don’t want to say. I am enjoying her company.”

2012 has taught Albie to look before he leaps.

“I just learned to be more careful with everything. Pag-iisipan mo talaga lahat ng gagawin mo. You can't just do something without thinking.”

Thus, he’s taking it one step at a time when it comes to love.

But he doesn’t hide the fact that he admires Dawn.

“She's (Dawn) great,” Albie adds.
