Airline staff's family plans to sue Claudine

The family of Cebu Pacific ground staff Charice Bocboc, who was allegedly verbally abused by Claudine Barretto during the incident in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 3 on Sunday, May 6, plans to sue the actress.

Claudine allegedly reprimanded Charice when the actress’ luggage was offloaded by the airline. In Charice's hand-written letter, she indicated that Claudine “was yelling and blaming us about the incident.”

“Duru-duruin niya ang anak ko. Binababoy niya eh! Iyan ay pinapaaral namin, hindi sa pinapaaral namin na mumurahin lang at babastusin. Napasakit lang bilang nanay,” Elizabeth Bocboc said, mother of Charice, in an interview on TV Patrol on Thursday, May 10.

According to the report, Charice felt bad about the incident and did not go to work for four days. Cebu Pacific advised her not to comment about the brawl involving Mon Tulfo and Raymart Santiago.

“Porket mayaman sila mahirap lang kami, kaya ang ano ko sa kanila, sana naman ma-realize nila na huwag naman magsalita ng ganoon sa kapwa nila,” Elizabeth shared.

Meanwhile, the Commission on Human Rights said Charice's family can seek legal action against Claudine.

“They can file a case dito sa CHR if they want to, sapagkat dignidad nila yan, hindi naman nila kasalanan iyan,” CHR Commissioner Etta Rosales said.
