Adidas unveils its new Porsche luxury sneaker

If you like a little luxury in your sports gear, Adidas Porsche Design Sport just announced its new line of men's workout basics, with the collection's showpiece: a performance slip-on €250 sneaker that promises to deliver a stylish, smooth ride.

The collaboration between Adidas and Porsche earned a nod of approval by the prestigious Plus X Award, which declared the union the most innovative brand of 2012 in the footwear category. The Plus X jury comprises 130 industry leaders and trade journalists and awards brands for their forward-thinking innovations.

The new collection also features the latest incarnation of the Adidas Porsche Bounce line, with a metal spring to keep you light on your toes and a mesh fabric to stay cool and dry. Styles run up to €400, and the entire line features models for a range of sports, including running, golfing, tennis, and driving.

The new Gym Easy takes a different approach: it features the line's signature architectural sole and cushioning for a variety of gym sports, and its simple design makes for easy toting in your gym bag or suitcase. The collection also features an array of sports gear, from hoodies to cycling pants, to stay chic while you sweat.

Adidas also recently used the influence of pop star Katy Perry and footballer David Beckham in the release of its ClimaCool Seduction running shoe. ClimaCool Seduction claims to deliver "360 degrees" of cooling with ventilation channels across the shoe's outsole and midsole -- all designed to keep your feet dry and cool as you pound the pavement. Priced at €120, the sneaker comes in a futuristic design and bright colors.
