Actress Han Ji Min held her first fan meeting in Japan on November 18th, and spent a happy time with her fans which numbered over a thousand.
According to her management agency, Han Ji Min's fan meeting came about upon the request of Japanese fans after her recent SBS TV drama 'Rooftop Prince' got a good reception when it was aired in Japan. Because of her growing popularity due to the drama in which she stars as the female lead, the Japanese side decided to invite Han Ji Min to Japan to meet her fans. The fan meeting was a milestone in itself as it became the biggest and also attracted the most number of fans for a Korean actress.
The fan meeting begun officially at 4PM local time, with Han Ji Min making her entrance by singing a song after an introductory video was played, winning the applause of fans in attendance. Upon seeing so many fans in front of her, Han Ji Min greeted them in Japanese, before breaking for a photo session and then had an interview regarding the drama. A compilation of best scenes from 'Rooftop Prince' was then aired, and thereafter Han Ji Min mimicked the omelette rice dish that her drama character Park Ha cooked in the drama, and became an impromptu cook, cooking it for her fans on the spot.
Han Ji Min then read a self-penned letter from her to her fans under the spotlight, with a bevy of photos appearing in the background, which complemented her voice beautifully, moving the hearts of fans. Han Ji Min also sang for the first time in public, singing the OST 'After a Long Time' from 'Rooftop Prince', and getting a warm reception from fans.
Han Ji Min's management agency said, "This was Han Ji Min's first fan meeting, and she was under great pressure. She appeared rather shy than usual during the fan meeting, but still managed to sing the song that she had prepared to thank fans for their support and love."
Finally, Han Ji Min shook the hands of each and every Japanese fan who came to the fan meeting, and this close interaction became a strong source of energy of fans. One fan expressed, "Regardless of drama or real life, she is really beautiful and friendly. I hope to see her often in Japan."
Meanwhile, Han Ji Min is now looking over several proposals for her next work.
