Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino considers year 2012 one of his best.

“Wonderful. Complete. One of the best,” the “Yesterday’s Bride” star said when asked to sum up 2012 during the GMA-7 Christmas party for the entertainment media on Thursday, December 13.

Rocco is referring to the breakthrough actor honors he got from the Star Awards for Movies and the Enpress Golden Screen Awards for his performance in “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa.”

He was also named Most Promising Male Star of the Year by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Award.

But when asked what Rocco wants or hopes for in 2013, he didn’t mention anything about his showbiz career. Instead, he wished for more success in his business venture.

“My plans are for my gym to expand even more. Lumago yung business. Nag-expand kami e, so sana makabawi agad,” Rocco shared. “Sana gumanda yung kita.”

“Mixed martial arts is my passion kasi,” he explained his business choice. “It’s a good thing na ito yung pinasok ko kasi it’s my passion and at the same time I get money out of it.”

He also hopes his boxing gym can help supplement his income as an actor. “Para may pandagdag na tulong sa pamilya.”

As for showbiz projects next year, Rocco is doing the GMA-7 afternoon soap “Yesterday’s Bride” with Lovi Poe. He might also be part of an upcoming movie to be released early next year.

In an earlier interview, the actor admitted he is no longer exclusively dating Sheena. However, he denied that Lovi caused their “breakup.”

How can there be a breakup, when they never admitted being a couple in the first place?

“Walang kinalaman si Lovi dun. At walang hiwalayan. Hindi naman kami,” he explained.

Rocco admitted that he and Sheena went out on dates.

He continued, “She’s busy with ‘Indioe’ e. Puro out of town yung taping niya so we don’t get to see each other much.”

The 25-year-old actor’s taping for his own show takes him to Angeles, Pampanga. And with his free time allotted for rest and workouts, there’s just no chance for him and Sheena to be together.

And Lovi?

“She’s special , of course, kasi siya ang ka-partner ko sa show (‘Yesterday’s Bride’).And the nice thing about is, we’ve been good friends for two years na. And ganda dun, paganda ng paganda yung friendship namin.”

Rocco also said, “Naniniwala ako sa whatever happens, happens. Kung ano man ang mangyayari, di ko na hawak yan.”
