'Betong' is Survivor Philippines' grand winner
Comedian Albert “Betong” Sumaya is the winner of GMA-7’s reality show Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Edition. He goes home with P3-M cash.
Betong beats Mara Lopez Yokohama and Stef Prescott during the show’s finale episode on February 10. He earned four jury votes while Mara garnered two, while Stef had one.
The jury (eliminated players who voted to determine the game’s winner) was composed of TV host KC Montero, comedienne Maey Bautista, athletes Arnold Aninion and John Odulio, actors Chuckie Dreyfrus and Arthur Solinap and commercial model Gino Dela Peña.
The final three of “Survivor Philippines” this year stayed in the competition premises (San Vicente, Palawan) for 36 days and outwitted, outplayed and outlasted 17 other castaways.
Other contestants are Geneva Cruz, Alyssa Alano, Aifha Medina, Jackie Forster, Angelika “Angelicopter” Schmeing-Cruz, Ellen Adarna, Filo Cucueco, Maria Isabel Lopez, Isabel Granada, Carlo Gonzales and Gino Dela Peña.
