Singer Zendee Rose Tenerefe, dubbed as the ‘Random Girl’ in the viral YouTube video, says the production staff of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” contacted her.

“Nacontact na po ako ng ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’. Sa Youtube, nagmessage sila sa akin na mag-iwan daw po ako ng contact number at e-mail kasi iccontact raw po nila ako as soon as possible,” Zendee said in an interview on Saksi last Monday, August 20.

Zendee’s rendition of  “And I’m Telling You” in a mall earned over a million views on YouTube. Taken and uploaded by Yuan Juan, it got the attention of netizens and various TV shows, including Yahoo! Philippines She.

Speaking in English

Zendee said in jest that the “Ellen” guesting makes her nervous since it requires her to speak in English.

“Natatakot lang po ako mag-English kasi hindi talaga ako magaling mag-English,” Zendee said.

It will be recalled that Ellen invited Charice to guest in her show after her video went viral. Another  guesting in “Oprah” followed.

Zendee has appeared in local shows like “Big Time Wil Time.” She performed “And I Am Telling You (I’m Not Going),” “Through The Fire,” and “Believe” with Rachell Ann Go, Jonalyn Viray and Aicelle Santos in “Party Pilipinas” Sunday, August 19.

“Thank you Party Pilipinas dahil na-grant niyo po yung wish ko na mag-guest sa Party Pilipinas. Kanina habang bumibirit ako, nakatingin ako kay Ate Regine (Velasquez). Nag-eye to eye po kami talaga, parang sabi niya, ‘Kaya mo yan,’” Zendee said.
