‘On the Job’ joins Cannes

Erik Matti’s action-thriller “On the Job”  is joining the  66th annual Cannes Film Festival, where it will be shown, along with other films from all over the world, in the prestigious Directors’ Fortnight section  on April 23.

The film stars Piolo Pascual and Gerald Anderson and is co-produced by Matti’s Reality Entertainment and Star Cinema. It also stars Angel Aquino, Joel Torre, Shaina Magdayao and Michael de Mesa.

Besides “On the Job,” Adolf Alix Jr.’s “Death March” and  Lav Diaz’s “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan” will also be screened in Cannes on May 15 to 26.

The Directors’ Fortnight is a  noncompetitive, independently programmed section in Cannes.

Steven Spielberg heads the jury in the main competition of this year’s festival.
