    • It's January 4, 12:33 in the morning and I can't sleep.

I have a lot to be thankful for.

      Let's do a recap of my 2011:

For the first month of the year, I was instantly blessed with a new show, "Dwarfina." While doing the show, I met a bunch of awesome people—from the staff and crew, up to my co-actors. I was very lucky to have worked with people who are such stress relievers. My workplace became a playground for me, and, more than that, I did find new friends. It was really amazing!

I cannot forget the month of February because I spent Valentine's Day alone. Ha! Kidding! I cannot forget this month because I was given the chance to learn how to play drums by our very generous boss, Mr. Tony Tuviera, who is by the way, a drummer himself. It started when we had an all-girl band production number in "Eat Bulaga" and I had to play drums! It's not that I knew nothing but I only get to hold drumsticks when I play "Rock Band." I discovered that playing drums in real life is tough, more so on

    • Fate

Pauleen Luna (Jerome Ascano, NPPA Images)You would know it when they say the rain can make you feel "emo"? That holds so much truth in it.

I found myself listening to a really insightful song by Up Dharma Down called "Tadhana." It's a very soothing song especially during those rainy days. And the lyrics — they hit too close to home. Tadhana. Fate. Will we ever know?

I remember one quote from a movie I really liked, "The Kite Runner," in which the father of Amir, the main character said, "It may be unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime." And it's true. It CAN change exactly how you see life. And what makes us experience those moments in our lives? Fate. Fate allows us to go through that part of our lives and changes us into what we are today. But I can't help but ask: Do we really have to leave everything up to fate or do we have to decide and deal with life the way we want to?

Today, I caught myself trying to make a sense out of my being single for quite

    • The day I met Miley

Miley Cyrus guests on "Eat Bulaga!" (Contributed photo) Miley Cyrus guests on "Eat Bulaga!" (Contributed photo) It was a Wednesday when our boss told us Miley Cyrus will guest in "Eat Bulaga." I got excited because I am a big fan of Miley's movie "The Last Song" and I really dance to some of her songs when I do numbers in "Bulaga." I can't really say I'm a die-hard Milester since I prefer different genres until... I met her in person.

Thursday came. I got up, tweeted my followers to tune in to "Eat Bulaga" because Miley Cyrus will promote her concert. I did my morning routine, got in my car and drove to Broadway Studios. I rushed going up to our Broadway expecting she was already there. I saw familiar faces who I don't regularly see in the studio, like Mara Sotto, Bossing Vic's niece. And yes, she was so excited to see Miley, too.

Finally, the show started. I hosted this portion called "PNV." Right after the portion, I went straight to the host's room. People we're talking about Miley's arrival. There were comments like ''She's so tall!" and "She has never ending legs!" and that made me more

    • It’s no joke

Pauleen Luna (Contributed photo)Pauleen Luna (Contributed photo)I am writing my very first blog for Yahoo! OMG! Philippines. I am so excited to share my thoughts to all Yahoo! users visiting this premier local entertainment site.

To those who don't know me, I am Marie Pauleen J. Luna. In showbiz, I am known as Pauleen Luna or Poleng, an actress and host. I am 22 years old, born in 1988. I'm a Manileña. I have two brothers.

Since I was a kid, I always wanted to enter showbiz. Then, nine years ago, it came true. I worked for Star Magic and ABS-CBN for a time before joining the longest running television show in the world. YES, IN THE WORLD. "EAT BULAGA. " And this particular job I continue to love and cherish up to this day.

Some people say anyone can work as an actress or a TV host.  Just look good on the camera and you're set to succeed in this business. Well, the truth is, it's no joke. There's more to being in showbiz than just style and glamour.

I really thought working in showbiz is easy.  One could have that misconception that looking
