Wedding bells for Roxanne Guinoo

Almost a year after bravely admitting her unplanned pregnancy, Roxanne Guinoo will marry her non-showbiz partner, Filipino-Chinese businessman Angelo Elton Yap.

Darla Sauler, head writer of ABS-CBN's "The Buzz," tweeted an image of the wedding invitation confirming that the ceremony is indeed fast approaching.

"Yay! Sauler said.

The wedding, according to reports, will happen on January 23, 2011.

Prenup shots

Last December 19, a joyful Roxanne tweeted "Had r pre nup pictorial, thank you lord! I feel so complete. U gave me a wonderful family, loving in laws elton, sofi, and baby reine."

The shots which were captured by Bobby delos Santos of Redfox Photography showed a beautiful and radiant Roxanne together with her dashing groom to be. The soon to be bride has brought back her pre-baby figure just barely four months since giving birth to daughter, Reine Eliana.

A wedding a year in the making

Roxanne's early pregnancy did not escape the prying eyes of showbiz observers and the public especially when she formally admitted her condition through "The Buzz" at the height of her career.

Through it all, the actress faced the world unscathed, protected by the love of her family and friends. She proudly revealed how her partner Elton proposed marriage in an interview conducted by Boy Abunda on "The Buzz" early last year.

Months after, the Sunday entertainment talk show interviewed Roxanne two days after giving birth. The then new mom expressed her feelings towards marriage.

"Ang marriage hindi madali. And hino-hope lang namin sana masurvive namin yung married life.

Sources say that the Roxanne-Elton wedding was a year delayed due to superstitious belief, called in local culture as "sukob," that discourages family members to marry on the same year due to bad luck. Angelo's sister reportedly tied the knot January of 2010.
