Shalani, Shamcey, Piolo, Jennylyn top OMG! Awards

Jennylyn Mercado wins hottest actress award. (Photo by Jerome Ascano/NPPA Images)Shalani Soledad and Shamcey Supsup topped the first Yahoo! OMG! Philippines Awards held on Tuesday, June 21, at the Republiq Bar in Resorts World, Pasay City.

"Wiltime Bigtime" host Shalani won the OMG! Celebrity of the Year award while 2011 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Shamcey received the OMG! Major Impact award.

The two awards are given to the most searched celebrities on Yahoo! Philippines. The OMG! Celebrity of the Year is given to the most searched showbiz celebrity while the OMG! Major Impact award is given to the most searched non-showbiz celebrity.

For the poll-based categories, Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual and Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado got top votes for the Hottest Actor and Hottest Actress categories respectively.

Piolo bested Kapamilya actors Jericho Rosales and Diether Ocampo and Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica. Jennylyn, on the other hand, beat fellow Kapuso Marian Rivera and Kapamilya actresses Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin.

Kapamilya artists Coco Martin and Cristine Reyes also received awards for the Breakthrough Male and Female Artists, respectively.

Vice Ganda won the Funniest Comedian award, while Eugene Domingo won the Funniest Comedienne award. Vice was also nominated for the Best Male TV Host award, but was bested by "Entertainment Live" and "Pilipinas Got Talent" host Luis Manzano.

Ritz Azul, who won the Amazing Female Newcomer award, is the lone winner from TV5. Alden Richards won the male counterpart of the Newcomer category. Ritz was part of the primetime show "Mga Nagbabagang Bulakalak" while Alden starred opposite Louise delos Reyes in "Alakdana."

Winners for the poll-based categories were based on online voting at the Yahoo! OMG! Philippines site which lasted for four days and ended 12 midnight last June 18.

grabe naman kayo kung makapanlait kay ms. shalani....bigyan nyo na lang po ng respeto ang bumoto sa kanya kahit hindi ko siya binoto atleast i don't have feel bitter to her..unlike the other's here...if you don't like a hosting job for ms. shalani, don't watch they're show " will time big time"..that's enough and god bless to all

Jennylen is an actress.. she is simply improving her craft.... she is not overrated. she is praised by her talent as it is... she looks yummy even she has given childbirth. Other actresses are single but their bodiesicrease in size faster than their age single pero parang naka panganak na ng isang dosena... what a disgusting sight!!!!!
