Pia Guanio engaged to businessman boyfriend
Pia Guanio has finally confirmed reports that she and non-showbiz boyfriend, businessman Steve Mago are engaged to be married.
Before GMA 7's 24 Oras ended on Wednesday May 11, Pia was caught off guard when asked to confirm reports of the supposed "secret engagement." Perhaps succumbing to pressure Pia simply said, "Yes, it's true."
The entertainment show host and Eat Bulaga mainstay happily shared a few details on the engagement that happened just last Saturday, May 7.
"Nag-meet na yung pamilya ko at pamilya niya nung Sabado lamang and I'm so blessed to say na nagkakasundo sila and they actually like each other. So, very thankful ako para doon," she revealed.
The couple has yet to decide on their wedding date but Pia promised to keep the public informed this time around.
"Wala pa eh [wedding date] pero makakaasa kayo na kapag nakapag-decide na kami ay sasabihan ko naman kayo. Wala naman akong choice," she laughed.
Pia's relationship status has recently been the talk of the town after a picture allegedly showing her kissing someone in a restaurant went abuzz in entertainment gossip sites and tabloids.
Reports also claimed that allegedly Pia and ex-boyfriend Vic Sotto were getting back together. But with the recent turn of events, the 38 year-old host proved that Vic is no more than a friend as she will soon face her new life as "Mrs. Mago."
