The teen sensation entered the stage in a cropped leather jacket, bejewelled black bra and black leather hot pants and told the crowd, "Thank you guys. Thanks for having me here tonight. This is my first time here. Thanks for being my only stop in Asia."
The voice behind the hits "The Climb," "Party in the USA" and "Can't Be Tamed," sang over 20 songs, dished out high-energy numbers and went through several costume changes for the show.
"Gypsy Heart Tour," held to promote Miley's recent album, "Can't Be Tamed," saw the teen star performing other favorites from her previous records such as "Party in the USA," "7 Things," "Fly on the Wall," and "See You Again." Miley also did covers such as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" of Poison, "Landslide" of Fleetwood Mac, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" of Nirvana.
Miley is a self-proclaimed big Nirvana fan.
Rock princess
Looking every inch a rock princess, Miley paid tribute to one of her favorite performers, Joan Jett by singing a medley of her classic rock songs, "I Love Rock and Roll," "Cherry Bomb" and "Bad Reputation."
Thousands of fans cheered wildly as Miley thanked them during the concert.
"You guys wanna have a good time? You have been amazing. Thanks for bringing us here. Everything starts with a dream," Miley said before she performed "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
Miley always pointed to fans and went in front of the stage to get closer to them and interact with them before performing a number. When Miley performed her second song, "Party in the USA," fans were jumping around and singing, showing Miley how it is like to party in Manila.
Another favorite performance from Miley is her rendition of "The Climb," a track from 'Hannah Montana: The Movie.' "Thank you guys. God bless you all. Thanks for being here tonight," Miley said before she sang 'The Climb.'
On screen, kids were shown singing along to the popular, heart-warming track. Most of Miley's fans are children and teens who started loving her since her "Hannah Montana" days until she made her big transformation in her "Can't Be Tamed" album.
In her second song, "Party in the USA," the fashionista star removed her cropped jacket to reveal a studded bra and hot pants. She also changed into a mini red one-piece suit; a black low neckline dress which still showed her bejewelled bra; a grey chiffon over-all and a black and blue one-piece with feathers on her shoulders, reminiscent of her costume in the music video.
Fans impressed
Miley impressed fans with her energy in every song — may it be a dance track, a rock song or a slow number. She was singing and dancing around the stage, nailing the choreography with her back-up dancers. Everyone in the audience swathe total performer in Miley as she showcased her excellent vocals while moving around the stage and rocking energetically with her band.
Sam Concepcion and Elmo Magalona were front acts for Miley. Celebrities sighted at the venue were Ruffa Gutierrez and brother Raymond Gutierrez and Saab and Maxene Magalona.
When Miley left the stage after singing "The Climb," fans shouted her name and asked for more. Miley went back for her encore: "See You Again" and "My Heart Beats for Love."
"Thanks so much. This is my last song. I want you to be loud as much as you can," Miley said before her last song 'Who Owns My Heart.'
In one of her numbers, Miley said the Philippines is the hottest she has been to so far in the tour. The overwhelming response from her Filipino fans, surely made the Philippines a lot hotter — figuratively that is — for Miley and her group.
