Miley Cyrus to hold lone Asian gig in Manila

International pop star Miley Cyrus will embark on her lone Asian stop of her ongoing "Gypsy Heart Tour" in Manila on June 17 at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

Since Music Management International and MCA first announced Miley's upcoming concert in Manila, the news went abuzz especially among her teen Filipino fans. Miley has been an icon to her fans who liked her since her Hannah Montana days in Disney. Social networks like Twitter and Facebook have various pages created by her fans in support of her "Gypsy Heart Tour" in Manila.

Miley kicked off "Gypsy Heart Tour" last April 29 at Quito, Equador and will have Manila as the tour's 13th stop. According to Miley's official website, the "Gypsy Heart Tour is a dream come true for Miley. "Not only because of all the beautiful cities I will get to visit, but all of the beautiful people I will get to meet. Gypsy Heart is not just a tour for me, but a mission to spread love," Miley said.
The international pop sensation rose to fame after portraying the lead role in Disney's "Hannah Montana." Miley went on to headline the "Best of Both Worlds" tour, which was in line with the TV show. In 2008, Miley released her second studio album entitled "Breakout" where she co-wrote eight songs in the album.

She also appeared on the movie version of her hit TV show in 2009 and "The Last Song" in 2010 wherein she starred alongside ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

That year, Miley took on a more mature image for her album, "Can't Be Tamed," which includes hits like "Who Owns My Heart" and the title track. The album debuted at number three in Billboard 200 and number eight in the UK Album Charts. The "Gypsy Heart Tour" is set to promote her latest album, "Can't Be Tamed."
