The song “Kunwari” comes in time for election season.
OPM aka Oh Promise Me
It is Kamikazee’s first collaboration with Gloc-9, who has worked before with other artists like Ebe Dancel and Parokya Ni Edgar.
The song also features guest musicians such as Biboy Garcia of Queso and Manuel Legarda of Wolfgang and Razorback.
Despite the song’s political theme, Kamikazee, as always, proved to be entertaining. And, given the date of the launch, the theme of the song can also apply to romantic love: that it's best to be careful and not trust anyone too easily.
He also told the crowd that the mestizo Manuel Legarda couldn’t be present that evening because he was “taking care of his blue eyes.”
Aside from the single, Kamikazee played some songs from their latest album “Romantico,” which was apt for the night.
From politics to footwear
But it only reminds us of how insane Kamikazee can be as a rock band—sounding the battle cry for the wellbeing of the country, yet knowing too that we need something on our feet to get where we need to go.
