Kim Hyun Joong is top Asian Hallyu star in China

Korean actor and singer Kim Hyun Joong was recently declared the most popular Asian Hallyu star in China, based on a survey that ran across several Chinese portals.

Baidu.com, Sohu.com, Sina.com, and a variety of other portals, ran a survey that found the "Boys Over Flowers" actor running away on top with 19.2% of the vote, which doubled that of second placer Song Seung Heon, who plays the lead in "My Princess." Hyun Joong's "Playful Kiss," which concluded a few months ago, is currently airing in China. Rumors say that "Playful Kiss" will be aired in the Philippines early this year.

Korean singers who transitioned into an acting career also placed well, with So Nyeo Shi Dae (SNSD)'s Yoona (3rd in the survey; she is popular in China for her drama, "You Are My Destiny"), Rain (4th, "Full House," Ninja Assassin"), and Lee Seung Gi (7th, "My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox," "Shining Inheritance"), placing well. The rest of the top 10 include Korean singers Yunho of TVXQ (5th) and Heechul of Super Junior (8th), as well as Korean actors Lee Wan (6th, "Swallow the Sun," "Stairway to Heaven"), Kim Jung Hoon (9th, "Witch Yoo Hee"), and Moon Geun Young (10th, "Cinderella's Sister," "Marry Me, Mary").

So, do you agree with the China poll results?
