‘Full House 2′ airing in March 2012

Shooting has finally begun for "Full House 2" after the lead actors for the Hallyu drama were finally confirmed and signed to star in this revisiting of the 2004 smash Korean telenovela. Korean actor No Min Woo, formerly known as Rose, the drummer of South Korean band TRAX, and best known for his roles in "Midas," "My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox," and "Pasta," stars in the drama opposite Korean actress Hwang Jung Eum ("East of Eden," "Death Bell 2") and actors Lee Seung Ho ("Queen Seon-deok"), Jo Yoon Hee ("Taegukgi," "Golden Fish") and Park Ki Woong ("The Musical," "Golden Fish").

The road to "Full House 2" production hasn't been a smooth one ever since the idea floated around a few years after the success of the original 2004 Korean drama made even bigger, brighter stars out of lead actors Rain and Song Hye Kyo. Several names have floated around, including those of Big Bang's T.O.P. (Choi Seung Hyun), B2ST's Doojoon, actor Song Joong Gi, and actresses Shin Min Ah and Min Hyo Rin, but no names were confirmed until October, when contracts were signed for both No Min Woo and Hwang Hung Eum.

Further compounding the producers' woes were unfounded (but not denied) rumors that there were script issues that needed to be dealt with. Despite the runaway success of the original drama which was also well received and highly anticipated in other Asian countries, including Japan, China, the Philippines, and Taiwan, this incarnation seems to be experiencing roadblocks at several turns. To date, the only confirmed air date for "Full House 2" is March 2012 in Japan via the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS). Korean television distributors have yet to commit to airing the new incarnation.

An online community recently published a photo of three actors - No Min woo, Hwang Jung Eum, and Park Ki Woong - in character costumes. What do you think? Do you think "Full House 2" stands to be as good, if not better than the original?
