Filipino K-Pop fans count days before Kim Hyun Joong visit

As reported by Yahoo! Philippines OMG! last July, hallyu superstar Kim Hyun Joong is set to visit Manila to promote his solo mini album "Break Down". The hallyu star, best known for his acting work in the hit K-dramas "Boys Over Flowers" and "Playful Kiss" as well as his musical stint, was the leader of the K-Pop idol group SS501, will be visiting Manila for a unique promotional event entitled "The Hi-Five Touch Event" on August 25, 2011, 6PM at the TriNoma Activity Center.

The Henecians, as Kim Hyun Joong fans are called, are already counting the days until they meet their idol face to face. The gigantic posters at TriNoma mall is already causing hyperventilation among K-Pop fans. I am sure Kim Hyun Joong's fans will be extra excited to know that they have a chance to "touch" their idol as the "Hi-Five Touch Event" will allow them to "hi-five" the hallyu star. According to PolyEast Records, "Kim Hyun Joong would definitely like a high-five from you! All you got to do is buy a copy of his album at the event, hold your hand up in the air and share your happy and cool gesture to Kim as he visits Manila to high-five all his fans."

"Break Down" is Kim Hyun Joong's first debut as a solo singer apart from his group SS501. "Break Down", the mini album, was completed with the help of Steven Lee, the producer of legendary Japanese idol stars KAT-TUN. "Break Down" reveals a new side to Kim Hyun Joong as he experiments with a heavier electronica sound through the use of synthesizer instrumentals which achieved addictive melodic beats for his single "Break Down". Still, the singer offers his fans some R&B-inspired tracks such as "Please" and "Yes I Will" and a pleasing pop song entitled "Kiss Kiss". Kim Hyun Joong's title track "Break Down" was produced by Ken Lewis. Lewis has also produced music for notable US artists including Eminem, Kanye West, Usher and John Legend.
