Journalist Ramon “Mon” Tulfo said the altercation between him and celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto at Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 3 on Sunday, May 6 made him a better person.
“I became a better person. Sometimes, a humiliating experience will make you a better person,” Tulfo said in a taped interview aired on ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” Sunday, May 13.
He also said the most important lesson he learned from the incident was, “You win some, you lose some. You cannot win them all sa away.”
Tulfo was shown in a Youtube video taking a beating from Raymart and company. The actor said, however, that it was Tulfo who threw the first punch that led to the brawl.
Sympathy for the flight attendant
The broadcaster said he shouldn’t have interfered when he saw Claudine berating the Cebu Pacific flight attendant at the airport. He also insisted that before incident, he didn’t know the woman was Claudine.
“Pero hindi ko maatim na iwanan yung isang tao na inaapi,” he said.
